Luisa Oliva is a highly accomplished and innovative makeup and skincare formulator, boasting more than 25 years of experience in the beauty industry. With a passion for both science and nature, Luisa has become a driving force in the field, holding a PharmD and a Masters degree in cosmetic science, and working for top Italian cosmetics manufacturers and leading French beauty brands. With an art-like approach, she sees formulation as a creative process, playing with colors and textures to craft something that is both unique and beautiful.

She was one of the first to launch an independent formulation consulting business, making her a true pioneer in her field. Her team provides cutting-edge formulation consulting services and training to international beauty companies, indie brands, ingredient suppliers, and packaging manufacturers, exceeding industry standards with their expertise in custom and out of the box formulas that incorporate the latest regulations and labels, such as green, clean, vegan, halal, gluten-free, and cruelty-free.

Luisa's passion for holistic beauty and botanics is evident in her formulations, which are infused with high-performance natural ingredients. With two years spent in the botany laboratory of the University of Rome and a thesis in botany, she brings a deep knowledge of the natural world to her craft. Her achievements include formulating a clean, long-wearing makeup line and an anti-aging skincare line made with infused natural ingredients, adhering to strict standards such as Ecocert or IS016128.

Her cross-cultural expertise is another key strength that sets her apart in the industry. With her skills and dedication to the beauty industry, Luisa has earned international recognition, having been featured in major publications and invited to speak at international conferences. she also shares her expertise in cosmetic formulation with the next generation of beauty professionals at renowned universities and post-graduate schools, shaping the future of the industry.
